This week I would like to appeal to our male members between the handicaps of 0-18 to get involved in our annual league season. We have two leagues running concurrently this spring, and they could be the ideal springboard to launch an international career in golf… or not.

Harry Solomon League
All male golfers between the handicaps of 10-18 as of the 1st of August 2010. We already do have a squad to pick the 16 man team from; however, we could always do with some more eligible golfers to choose from. To view details of competition click here.

Masters League
All male golfers who are 50 or older and single figure handicaps as of the 1st of August can join this illustrious group of members. The 8 man team consists of a 4 home and 4 away players each week. The draw this league can be viewed by clicking here.

Talking about league, congratulations to our junior league team who beat both their opponents in the tie last Sunday. The victory included a 5 & 4 drubbing by young Caitlin du Plessis over her male opponent. Well done to our youngsters and good luck for their next match this Sunday at Milnerton. Senior Tees
Most members will by now know that we have reintroduced senior tees for gentleman at the course. To be eligible to play off the senior (blue) tees, members must conform with the following stipulations:

- Seniors must be 65 years or older to be eligible
- Handicaps – C Division only (16-30)
- Seniors must play every round off Blue tees regardless of club tee for the day
- Seniors to ensure they enter 70 as course rating off Blue tees for handicapping purposes
- Please inform the Pro-Shop if you are eligible and wish to join the ranks
